Dear Parents of 7th and 8th grade students, 30 August 2010
In conjunction with our Religion, Social Studies and Literature, the 8th grade students will be viewing several movies. These movies will be used as teaching tools to augment the subject matter, to develop critical thinking skills, to study compare and contrast techniques and to encourage higher level questioning and reasoning. The movies for the 8th graders are
The Song of Bernadette Our Lady of Fatima The Scarlet and the Black Bella
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe To Kill A Mockingbird Shane
The Scarlet Pimpernel Roots Mr. Smith Goes To Washington

A permission slip to watch the movies will be sent home. Please sign the Permission slip for Video Use. If you give your son or daughter permission to view the movies without restriction simply sign the form and do not check any of the options (A, B or C). Students who do not return this permission slip will not be allowed to view the videos.
Thank you,
