It is hard to believe that we have reached the half-way point of the school year. It has gone by so quickly and the second half you the school year will fly by as well.
In the next few weeks your children will be taking their entrance exams and interviewing for various high schools. It is important that your children stay focused get plenty of rest and good nutrition to help them get through this stressful time.
We will also begin working on our musical extravaganza, “Encore!”. The dates for “Encore!” will be April 20th, 21st, and 22nd, 2012. At present, rehearsals will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:15 – 4:30. Pick-up after rehearsals will be at the Charleville gate. Students not picked-up at 4:30 will be signed into afterschool care and a fine will be charged. Rehearsal days and times will increase as we get closer to performance time. A rehearsal schedule will be posted in the classroom so that students know when they are expected to stay after school. Rehearsals will not interfere with Student Council meetings and basketball practices however flexibility is important.
Fund raising efforts are underway for the musical and I ask that you support our efforts. Bake sales have been (tentatively) scheduled for Sunday, February 5th and Sunday, March 4th after the Sunday Masses at the Church. A Family Fun Night has also been scheduled for Tuesdays, January 24th and 31st at California Pizza Kitchen. Information about all future activities will be on the class Blog.
