What’s new in 8th grade
This month we have been listening to smooth jazz. The class seems to enjoy the different sounds from artists like Kenny G., Dave Brubeck, The Manhattan Transfer and The George Shearing. Each month we will be listening to a new genre of music.
This Week – August 29th
All spirit shirt orders must be turned into the school office by September 1st.
Remember to bring a towel or place mat to use underneath your lunch.
It is important to keep yourself hydrated during hot weather so don’t forget your water bottle!

We are off to a great start. Classes are in full swing and the new 8th grade students are already working hard in the classroom and serving as great role models for the younger students on the school yard. Bravo!
Welcome Class of 2012
Welcome 8th graders! The first day of school is Wednesday, August 17th. This year the first day of school is an Open House. Students and parents may arrive anytime during the course of the morning between 8:00 and 11:00 A.M In the classroom there will be a checklist of activities for you to complete. Please allow plenty of time to complete the checklist and remember these activities are for parent(s) and student. The school office will be open for any business you need to complete and refreshments will be served. Students may come in free dress. Please remember to bring all school supplies that are on the supply list (access through the school’s website).
Thursday and Friday school will be dismissed at 12:30 P.M. You must be in complete uniform.
